head unit again!

I posted one a minute ago, but ive just signed up so doing it again!

just want to know if i need the connects 2' cable for my cd changer when installing it.cheers

i had to with mine and it works just great. bit miffed at the cost of said box and cable though.
i had one for a scenic that the mrs had and just needed the cable..... but would they help out? no, so had to by the damn thing again. the box contains a circuit board but i suspect it does very little.
