Had a nice email from Haynes manuals today and unfortunately they can't produce one because theres only 17odd thousand Multiplas on the road (according to DVLA) so the nice man at Haynes said its not a viable propersition. Surely such a manual would sell in Europe too? Theres plenty of Multi's over there.
Oh, well.
I tried, maybe we'll need to make our own . . .

Whatever you do on your Multi, check in the section to see if its already been covered and if it hasn't, do a write up (like bikes did) and upload it for everyone to use.
Cheers
George
p/s, I've got some interesting jobs coming up so I'll document it all with photos and upload em. That'll be a start.

I have just put a deposit down on a multipla this morning, and I know I am taking on a bit of a project.
I fell for the hippo-like character of the car and have decided that since the engine is good, I don't mind working like a trojan on the interior and a few scratches in the bodywork.
I was disappointed that I couldn't find a haynes manual for it though, as I have purchased one for every car I've had. I have emailed them as well, don't know if it will do any good.

What's the email address? I'll email them too. Maybe if enough of us do they'll make one!:yum::rolleyes:

Better late than never ....................

Latest from Haynes:

There were less than 17000 units sold in UK (Multipla's) so it is not a viable proposition to produce a workshop manual. "We normally only produce manuals for volume sales because of the overall costs of production.
Why don't you get your forum people together and produce your own? It could be a niche market, so you may do well with it.
So why don't you get into it Haynes?

Extracts above are not EXACT quotes from Haynes, they are generalisations. The people I spoke to we nice enough about it all, but they need sales in the high thousands or better, millions to make it viable.

 - SO WHY DON'T WE MAKE OUR OWN?

Bought 2 of these and now have 4 discs! (n)

Both sellers sent out further copies because the copies they had copied were cwap in the first place!

They couldn't have checked them because they would have soon realized that they wouldn't have been able to open the files. :(

When I finally got one open the information it contained was sketcky at best and completely missing at worst - it contained no torques, no timing parameters and sod all electrical.
ALL IN ALL a complete waste of space.

 We'd be better off collecting all we can from venerable members and building a workshop guide of our own, available to members of our site as downloadable files for printing or storing. (y)
