My Friend Has A Marea, Its Been Running Fine Untill Today. The Key Sign For Immobiliser Wont Go Off.(car Wont Start) We Looked At The Hand Book,it Wasn't Very Helpful. The Emergancy Start Up Procedure Doesn't Work! Can Anyone Help? Thanks

Have you tried another key? That symbol means the code in the key has not been recognised by the ECU.

yeh,have tried different keys including the red one. still no joy!!

If you are lucky the transponder in the ignition switch is not working, otherwise it sounds like the ecu is gone.
