Punto (Mk1) hand brake light and abs

i have no hand brake light on my mk1 sporting is this normal? and does anyone know if it has abs or not?

Remove the handbrake gaiter (pull it carefully) and look for the switch under the handbrake lever. Hopefully it's just unplugged, but a replacement shouldn't be too hard to get.

I think ABS was an option on mk1's, so look for a wire inside the wheelarches.

surely an ABS pump would be a better thing to look for..?
