I am dismayed by Chaos'es post as he knows that I am in contact with Peter very often and could have sorted out his order very quickly if he wanted it and couldn't get hold of him

Phil, you knew that I've had problems contacting Peter. You even sent a PM on my behalf to ask Peter to reply to my original PM to him - I asked you (at Stanford last year, IIRC) whether you had a reply with regards to that and the answer was no. I certainly have never had a reply. It didn't even get past the quotation stage, let alone me waiting to hand over my hard earned.

It's all by the by now - my business was gratefully received elsewhere :)

Funny I cant remember that happening  and he was at Stanford last year himself so how come you didnt approach him about it there  but as you say all by the by now :)

I too have dealt with peter. I agree he could probably be difficult to get hold of, but i think he is such a busy person, and he seems to be trying to please everybody at once, and that is why he is difficult to contact.

I have met peter twice, and he seems very knowledgable, and very trustworthy. I have had a GSR induction kit installed by him, and then remapped on Chipped.uk's RR. The gains achieved were better than expected.

170 BHP as standard, then GSR'd to-
205 BHP. Which cost me only £390.

We have experienced a slight flatspot at around 2000-3000 Rpm, but then it goes beserk. Peter has even told me that he will be looking in to the flatspot problem, and will then arrange another RR session free of charge.

So personally, i cant fault pete, his company, his customer service, or his skill and knowledge.

Had to get my tuppence worth in. (y)

I don't know why people keep saying 'he is hard to get ahold of' etc...

Do you honestly think after 7 weeks I wasn't trying rather hard to contact him? he was actually avoiding my calls at one point...

Besides if he is so busy, how does he have time to take legal action?

We have recived a statement from GSR, who do not wish a fight on the net.
GSR said:
It isn't true in several points. GSR does not do any work on cars for some time. GSR does supply products.

Cal wanted to bring his car up here and I told him several times that I wouldn't do the job myself because I haven't got time for these jobs and got enough pressure as it is. It would be done by someone else, which he was happy about as well as I have got no financial interest in it.

He wanted to bring the car up because of a blown head gasket and wanted me to sort out the porting and flowing of the head. This was done with a a pressure test and skimming. I also supplied to him the belt, tensioner and gaskets.

He was meant to give me £400 for this and another £200 to the person taking the head off and fitting it.

He got a re-map for £200, which he didn't pay for and came back to complain that the re-map didn't work when told that he had to do a few more things to the car (exhaust etc.). He also got told that we would try to find the fault, why the car would get according to him the claimed power.

He also received an induction kit for £190, which he didn't pay for.

The claim that I have done damage to the car is quite funny as I asked him whether anything is damaged which wouldn't have been before. The car was a tip before it came to where it was done with scratches and broken glass fibre bumpers. He asked me even where he could the body work done after the work on the engine is done.

When he was there he mentioned that the head light was broken and I said to him that if it was in my care then I will pay for it.

Since the person who was meant to do the job let everyone down, I had to finish the job on an engine I generally do not work with (1.6 Punto engine). Bits were missing which I had to work out without a manual while going along, which meant I had to go several times to the dealer.

I supplied for £450 parts like head set, tensioner, timing belt, other gaskets, bolts (which I wasn't meant to supply) totaling over £100, £200 remap, £190 induction kit, ported, flowed, skimmed, pressure tested cylinder head, which is £400 and was lumbered with a fitting that I wasn't meant to do. I should have gotten for this at least £1090 if I had done it as a job.

This is my side of the story if anyone should be interested in it. If not, it doesn't make a difference for me because I know what I have done and generally do not care about it that people try to run me down, which is part of my life.

I do respect whatever decision the admin comes to and will certainly not reply in public to the allegations.

Hope that this clears the situation a bit for you.
Topic closed, if you think you have a case Mr Cal, may be better through small claims than an internet forum!

We have both sides of the story now so there is no need to carry on this thread, people can see both parties views and make their own minds up :)

OK, Dave locked this thread and we have since received a couple of reports from people objecting.

The moderators that were online when this was locked agreed unanimously that it should be closed. Both parties involved have had their say. Dave left a reply which was received by pm from Peter. The fact that Dave posted that pm does not indicate that he is siding with Peter, it was an attempt to make all information which we had available so people could arrive at their own conclusions.

FiatForum is not the place to continue this discussion. With threats of legal action from both parties it is not in the interests of the forum to continue this. Both sides have had a say, that is the end of the matter on this forum.

In reply to the report accusing us of censorship, this forum is the private property of the forum owner, it is not somewhere where people can express an opinion or post whatever they want and then when we object they play the censorship card. Any complaints about this thread being closed can be sent to Ben by pm.
