Hi well I'll give you a bit of background first as your circumstances may be diferent. My car : Fiat BravA 100 sx T reg (mar 99). I have fitted my Grundig CD36 underneath the Right hand Rear seat, seat cushion ( the one that lifts up and rests against the rear of the drivers seat). underneath the seat cushion there is a ledge with the seat cushion hinges on, this ledge overhangs by about 2-3 inches (if i remember correctly). The rear of the CD player is sloted into and underneath this ledge, I think I ran the control cable for the CDP either along the drivers side or up the centre of the car underneath the carpet. the cd player sits in such a way that the sliding door for the 6 disc cartridge is facing towards the rear of the vehicle. This should be enough to hold it in place, however i also used the supplied side mounting brackets and fastened them securely to the floorpan using self tapping metal screws. I have had no problems with my CD player since fitting it myself in this location. BTW this location was recommended to me by a fitter at my local Fiat dealers.
