Went to a tyre place to get a tyre put on, and they put the wheel back on without the 20mm spacers i have - as a result they had drove the extra long bolts right through my hub, i tried to pull away and it jammed
snapped a bolt in the hub and bent the other 3, they spent over an hour trying to get the wheel back off , the bolts are specialized so they couldn't just get more, i'm gonna have to order them off line and bill them for it and *hope* my hubs no ****ed . they've re-threaded the hub and the bolts seemed to torque up ok . so might have got away with it but i'm gonna get it checked. was so pissed off.
I mean come on! how hard is it not to fcuk up putting a wheel on !

then spent all evening fibre glassing a bit of the rear end on the black one - and fibre-glassing is high up on the list of things im not very good at!

:bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang:

this is why i took my wheels, not the car, to the garage to have the tyres fitted. I've seen the way these place jack a car up, and i dont want my sills flat and squished!

Did you get everything sorted out?

Sorry I was away in Englandshire when you needed me!!

For a change it was wetter down there than up here.

Cheers

PD

Ive orderd the new bolts, £35 but they have said they will pay for it. The spare wheel has stayed on so far with no judders or pulling so may have survived ok.

Was so sad with no PD around to help me :cry::cry:

Sorry, I do have to work occasionally. Well when I say 'work', I mean, the lap dancing club in Hull was really quite good!!

Cheers
