I am trying to work out how much cargo can be carried in an Idea. I have read that you need to ascertain the GVW and the subtract the kerb weight. I know the kerb weight - anyone know the Gross Vehicle Weight. On the plate under the bonnet it has two figures: 1660KG and 2660KG. Anyone know what these are, as there is nothing beside the figure to explain. I am away on holiday so I cannot look at the book which I am sure will have the GVW.

Please help ASAP. Thanks. (y)

I didn't realise I could download the guide via this site so I have now discovered the answer. Basically the kerb weight is 1160kg not including the driver, spare tyre and a full tank of fuel. Add 500 kilos of driver/passengers/luggage and you get the 1660 figure. Add a braked trailer of 1,000 kilos and you get 2660.

Crumbs - I wouldn't like to try and pull away with 500Kgs onboard and a 1 ton trailer!
