Hello everyone and greetings :)

My names Ben and im 19, I live in a lil ol village called Debenham which is somewhat near Stowmarket and Ipswich :)

I havnt actually gotten around to doing the bio stuff on my profile but I will sometime i promise :p

I drive a navy blue mk2b punto which is on a 53 reg and annoyingly is only the 8v active model but i have plans :)

would be awesome to get to know as many people as possible on here and learn a lot from other more experienced owners :p

what iv already done to my car:
-purchased and fitted 2 6x9 speakers on the parcel shelf along with a 1000w sub in the boot.
-new floor mats, seat and steering wheel covers (all for protecting originality)
-got a new drivers door handle but is STILL yet to be fitted :L
-number plates HAVE been replaced
not a massive list i know :p

what i plan to do (or already have done, depending when you're reading this :p ):
-Lower it using fk ak coil over suspension
-put 15" Rota Slipstream (in white) alloy wheels on and put blue fiat caps in the middle of each
-xenon lights
-debadged grill
-remove the 'active' badges on the sides to hide the shame :L
-possibly getting smoked tail lights
-possibly getting some sort of exhaust however im really not sure about this one

I was going to remove the rear Fiat badge however I have heard that it is actually drilled on, not glued on and as I cba to go through the effort of filling the hole and respraying ect...

If there are any recommendations you think my punto could do with please share and i look forward to speaking to you all

Good name ;) And Welcome to FiatForum (y)

She looks good!

Get the underseal done and you'll be set for many years to come!

Get the rear windows tinted, it always looks good. Don't smoke the rear lights the mk2b lights are nice :) so keep them standard!!!

Get some sporting/abarth alloys for it and i believe most mk2b owners have removed the rear badge and personally it does look better without it, why fiat stuck it there in the first place is questionable :yuck:

Ah well, look after it and it'll look after you!

Benny

thanks benny, it took some imagination :D

will be getting it serviced soon, gonna ask the garage (who i know well) to see whether they think its worth getting the underside coated or not.

sorry im a bit of newbie to doing up cars but would you recommend spray for tinting the rear window?

I want to remove the rear badge but isnt it drilled in on the mk2b's? i may be wrong :L

its good to have another ben on here :p

no i wouldn't use tint spray on the windows use tint film, less messy as well so if you decide you dislike it you can remove it and go back to standard again :)

it's always worth getting the underside done, im doing mine when i get a free whole day and the weather is hot all day and doesn't rain (that's like expecting a miracle to happen :D).

for the rear badge i believe its bolted remove that bolt and it'll come off, but your right you will need to fill it, smooth it then respray it to match rest of car, can be a pain but you debadged the front may as well do the back.

benny

indeed!

had a nose at your punto man, looks very nice :)

what L.T% for the film would you recommend for the boot lid window? and also for the backseat windows on each side?

the photos i put up there were when i first got it, i will upload more once iv fitted some more bits to the exterior :)

yes kinda telling the rain to sod off frankly :L every day clouds block any hope of warmth or sunshine

Thanks mate :)

In terms of percentage to use is at your discretion, I think on mine I did 50 or 60 can't remember but its something like that.

Also another nice little mod is to take the bumper strips off the doors but it comes with a price that does car park dings but if you have any sense you'd park away from cars like I do :D I always try and find a bunch of empty spaces and park there!

And I agree the clouds just makes it less promising when you want to do something to the car, I've had this before I washed the car a few weeks ago 2 hours later it rained

Roll on Summer I say!

Benny

been busy today :p much more recent pictures, alloys and coilovers next :)

fitted the new grill, removed the active badges and got some deflectors, im happy with how its going so far :D

I will replace that door handle soon
