Hi All,

Greetings and salutations from South Africa. I'm the (very) proud owner of a new Strada 1.6 16v ELX pick-up, finished in bright silver (pics of which will appear tomorrow in the Members Motors section). It's my second Fiat, the first being a 1994 1100 Uno Fire.

There don't seem to be too many 178 Series owners here (and even less Strada pick-up owners) but as I'm looking forward to being in this neighbourhood a lot more often in future, maybe we can help change those stats a bit!

Welcome aboard, not sure about South Africa but here seeing a Strada is probably a rarity in itself!

Thanks T14086 - Yes, apparently it's the 'Mk III' Strada (in Brazilian Strada-speak terms), and a real beauty! I'll try and post some info. too about all the accessories I've had fitted as most Strada's in SA are run-of-the-mill models. Love the German Shepherd in your signature - this is one of the main reasons for me buying the Strada - I've got two Shepherds and transport them quite often, hence the half-tonner pick-up requirement.

That's the one! Of course, Brazil gets the lion's share (and they don't even have any!) of Strada development, range and accessories, including a newer Mk IV as well. We can only live in hope....
