Hello mates, i want some help with my GP 1.4 16v 95hp.
Motor runs good no stuttering no nothing..but 2 out of 8 times check engine starts blinking mainly at speeds over 100kmh.

I use texa scanner and it reports misfire at cylinder 2 and 3.
I changed spark plugs deleted codes nothing. still the same. Swapped coils from cyl 1 and 4 to 2 and 3. Delete codes and then same reappear. Cyl 2 and 3 misfire (overheating). I've read about phonic wheel learn but i dont think it will help me because it reports misfires.

What can i do to fix it? Whats the next thing to check? I dont feel the car stuttering or not working well at least as i can feel.

I would be glad if anyone could help me. Thank you so much waiting for your responses.

Attaching a picture of my lovely gp that needs some painting on the front hood.

How about the HT cables ?? Could also come from injection...

Hello oand thenks for helping me. So the next thing to check is first the ht leads and then the fuel injectors?

How long have you had the car and have you ever had the timing belt changed?

It sounds like it needs a phonic wheel relearn as this often causes a EML flash at higher rmp/speed and misfire error code without an actual misfire

Start from the cheapest: swap leads 1&4 to 2&3, lengths should be ok and see if the error moves accordingly. Next cheap (free): perform a phonic-wheel re-learn. Next and before checking the injectors, poor a Bardhall or similar fuel additive in your tank, it certainly won't hurt... (read an FOLLOW the instructions on the can!!)

Are you running with "premium" or "supermarket" gas ??
