GPS Signals

[Most Easterly Pandas]

Anyone know of any booster devices etc for in car GPS devices. Never had problems with Panda's, but since getting Stilo, my speed camera locator always takes for ever to locate and my T-eye in car video recorder has never recieved a GPS signal

Beginning to p'ee me off now. I know you can get things like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MMCX-GPS-Ante...ms=65:2|66:2|39:1|240:1318|301:0|293:4|294:50 but ideally I'm wondering if there is anything I can put on the windscreen around the rear view mirror to boost signal as both GPS items are located on the rear view mirror.

I am guessing that the Stilo has an athermic windscreen where the Panda did not. I'm afraid it will probably be an external aerial jobby.

Just the t-eye hasn't got an ariel input. Any way around that one

Software? or the device itself

Yes, and latter is no Luckily on the t-eye the GPS is only a feature, so still works ok without it, but just means it isn't gps mapped.

The software like, sometimes it gets out of date and might cause it to load slower

if you can just get an ariel could always route it though the interier light should look tidy enouth
thena gain would it provide enouth just being in the roof of the car?

I don't know. The little areial with the speed cam locator in the Panda's was mounted on roof (metal bit at top of the screen) and it worked ok there.

Was thinking about doing what you've suggested and take it up behind the foor liner.
