GP Too common now?

I know why I haven't seen many lately.. rather than being on the road they're spending more time back at the dealer's having this and that fixed

the grande punto is a mass produced family car, if you dont see one every day it means fiat are in trouble. i rarely see them, so imo they are not selling well enough. the corsa is the same car but its selling 6 times as many units.

as said before, be worried if you arnt seeing them around as its a mass produced car, however fiat must be in the black, i mean look at all the great cars they have beem making as of late!!!

if the 500 doesnt sell then england has no taste

anyhows, nice to see GP's on the road, means some ppl have taste

i cant see y everyone buys corsa's they are sooo..... well... bland....

If you see the sales figures for the GP vs Honda Jazz, Citroen C2, Fiesta etc I think you will see that the competition is streets ahead in sales numbers. Sure you do get areas where a certain model seems to be more common but over all I think it is still a bit rarer than the others. I have driven over a thousand miles in the last few days and I was hoping to point some GP's out to the wife as she wasn't sure what they looked like and I have told her I am thinking of getting one. Surprisingly I saw very few, especially on the motorways so I am not bothered about there being too many.
Could do with a bit more choice of colour though.

The number of GP's that you see in the UK may not reflect the entire European market. Over here, the GP is very popular and I've seen quite a few in France as well. I wanted a new GP Emotion 1.9 JTD 5 door to replace my crashed Idea, but Fiat Belgium didn't have any in stock. Now I've got an older Punto Mk 2 and I'm waiting to see the new models that Fiat and Alfa are supposed to get over the next 12 months or so. Bravo break/estate/wagon, Bravo MPV (may arrive too late), Alfa Junior/139/Alfasud/whatever they will call it (only if there will be a five door version) and the Alfa 159. I'll make my choice and place my order when the time comes.

you have to pay for the NR3-1 'by model variant' report (or carefully google it if you know the filename)

the latest figures by brand show fiat has lost uk market share, now down to 1.73% (was 2.07% exactly 1 year ago). that is a fall of one fifth of their market share year on year!

kia have 1.46% of the market, nearly as much as fiat. early last year i did predict kia overtaking fiat in 2008 and i still stand by it.

ford (15.95%) and vauxhall (14.69%) are still the kings of the uk market. the astra is best seller for feb08. no fiat or even an italian car in the top10 best sellers for the month or year to date.

top10 sellers YTD
Focus 13,774
Astra 11,598
Corsa 9,946
Fiesta 9,348
Golf 7,878
207 5,680
Vectra 5,371
Mondeo 5,273
A3 4,957
Zafira 4,845

Now that doesn't suprise me at all, I'm sure the Picanto is out selling the Panda (Wish they'd import the diesel though 113bhp 1.1 3cyl!!) and Ceeds seem to be everywhere.
