they will more than likely be interchangable. as the bravo ones are, from experience.

i work in a fiat garage and the connectors are all the same.

pricey for the cluster tho £200 plus.

punto matt isn't the dashboard connected with the ecu? an electrician told me that but im not sure.if it is than how the abarth will work with a normal one?

Thanks for the help guys, especially 98dizzard, what a post! lol. From what i can gather, if i really wanted the boost gauge, it would be easier to try buy the full abarth instument cluster, than to just try and get the actual display from somewhere? e.g. a t-jet bravo (i'm assuming there exactly the same display)

Yeah I think the display is mated to the cluster in a way that it is not replaceable or interchangable. Could be wrong, but it looks like one complete unit, and I think the computer chip that controls the display is embedded into the cluster from what I can gather.
I would guess the clusters are interchangable as long as they have the same connector and fittings, but they may need to be registered with the body computer by Fiat.

yerp/ the clsuter will ahve to be proxy aligned with the body computer. so if buying second hand you can only get one with lower milaege. and round it up.

i think the higher spec gp's (i.e multijets/t-jets) will work fine with the abarth cluster/matrix cluster.

but lower models will more than likely need to have the body computer changed.

dont see the point in fiat fitting the matrix as standard on EU mainland cars but not britisha nd having a different body computer to control it. had a look earlier and the fixings are the same in all GP's minus a couple of signals from lower spec, and a few more from dualogic/t-jets for example.

Cool. Now do you think fiat/abarth would sell me an abarth instrument cluster? If so how much is it likely to cost?
Also when getting it proxy alligned, would fiat be abit funny about doing this for me? i'm guessing it'd depend on the dealers attitude. If not theres a fiat specialist independant garage down the road from me with all the latest diagnostic machines etc. and i'm presuming they'd be able to do it.

Thanks again :)

Sure they will sell you one. Get some good lube ready though for when they give you a price. They should proxy allign it but some dealers have been known to say no to doing it.

dealers would normally only carry out a proxy alignment procedure if they do the work themselves i.e warrenty work.

and ye as matt said, ge the lube out. ive checked the prices and you will probbly change your mind.

I emailed one abarth dealer earlier, he gave a price of £230, not too bad really, could waste that type of money on a few nights out. You fancying one matt? Also matt just a quick off topic Q, i know you have the eibach sportlines, can you still have a car full without the wheels rubbing?

Dont see why not its not exactly a big drop and with arches as big as the GPs it shouldnt be a problem. My car would rub but thats purely because ive got 20mm spacers on the back which pushes them out nearly level with the arches. £230 isnt too much for the clocks really. I did pay £300 for headlights afterall lol

It is via the CAN network as are all modules/nodes on the car.

If you have money I dont see a problem;)

some dealers have been known to say no to doing it.

Then the mileage will flash.

Disagree there, we do loads of proxy-alignments/mileage corrections when customers change parts then bring it to us.
