General GP Front Crash Sensor replacement

Hey - someone numbed my Fiat GP.

Airbag light then stuck on - garage checked it over have a said it needs a front impact sensor (driver side / offside front). They said they will fit it but Fiat no longer make them and don’t buy used parts.

I’m having no luck finding one online?

Any ideas?

This is the two parts they have removed / need replaced - but the codes are worn on them and I can't find similar on ebay

hard to tell without the number visible but it might be this part:

very old version of fiat parts catalog says part number 51775240

fiat may not stock them any more but they should be able to assist in confirming the correct part number if you phone your local dealer and provide your VIN

looks like they are manufactured by TRW so might be worth contacting them too

Thank you so much! I’m going to phone the dealer in the morning and see if they can get the part! No idea why this part is so difficult to track down, surely it must be reasonably common repair!

Hey! Did you ever find the part…I’m in need of a new one too cos I have the same issue. I’m gonna try scrap yards but there’s obvi no guarantee they’ll work…
