I'm just wondering if anyone has fitted a cruise control to their GP? I have the 1.9 Sport version on a 56 plate and was told when I got it that it could not be retro-fitted with the maker's standard cruise control. I fitted one to my Stilo Multiwagon very easily so wonder if anyone knows if it is actually do-able on the GP?

Search Fiat 500 cruise control on ebay, a company have managed to retro fit it to them so i cant imagine it being to different to the grande punto.

Drop them an email.

Yes it can be done, you need to buy the new stalks, which come as a whole unit about £180 if I remember. Also need Fiat ECU Scan to activate it which is €50.

not forgetting the switch for the clutch pedal ,and no doubt one for the brake and associated wiring ,they will be needed for switch off conditions .ie cruise will disengage when either pedal is pressed

Was going on my time of working on trucks with cruise and ,what the grande has .Couldn't translate the italian .Do you know how they cancel cruise with the brake and clutch pedals ,as whatever system is used for safety it has to cancel with the use of either pedal,or else it is extremely dangerous and probably illegal

Thanks for the replies guys. It's looking like it's not worth the bother. For the price, I may as well get a third party one which I've done on my Ducato.
