General Got my 500 today - how to remove window sticker

I've finally got my lovely 1.2 Lounge Dualogice in BMW. Picked her up this morning. Will take pictures when the weather is better as the poor thing is already wet and has mud splashes

In the meantime, any tips on removing the dealers window sticker without damaging the heated rear screen. The sticker has been put at the top of the rear screen and inpairs the my visability of an already small window.

you could try hairdrying it and then slowly peeling it off

I'd have asked dealer no to put it in place in the first place.

Get them to remove it, if they damage screen they'll then have sort it

I specifically asked my dealer not to put any unwanted stickers on my car. They're not paying me to advertise their business! Like jip0 said, apply some heat to it if you're having trouble peeling it off. But if you're worried then, yeah, go to the dealer and ask them politely to remove the fecker.

exactly, either that or offer to leave it on the window if they drop the APR by 1%

Dad had strong words with a sales person when he brought our Toyota back in 2001.

He said that if there was any dealership advertising other than on the numberplates he'd reject the car. It worked. Nothing on the car.

Forgot to mention the same when buying my Stilo from a Vauhall dealer. Had no sticker on test drive, the one when I collected.

As soon as I had the keys I went out, opened the boot (in full view of the sales team), peeled the sticker off. Then walked in and asked them to deposit 'this crap' in the bin for me :devil:

The look on their faces. The cheaky sods had even re-done perfectly good number plates so they have Vauxhall on them!

Just been outside to see how hard the sticker has been stuck. Luckily, it wasn't stuck on very firmly so have gently peeled it off

the window stickers aren't so bad but why do some dealers put really naff decals on the bodywork, some of them are truly awful.

When i ordered car through Glyn Hopkin i said no stickers or badges.The only advertising was on the number plates.Easy solution-got personalised number plate from my father-in-law who has just stopped driving!Glyn Hopkin must take the prize for the worst badge on the boot.

I peeled off the dealer one when it was delivered to me. But I've since had one applied from a dealer in Germany who was awesome and went way beyond the call of duty to fix a hub I'd mashed at the Nurburgring. I asked them for one of their stickers for my 500:

Agree with that, luckily mine came off OK. Mind you their tax disc holder was pretty sticky but after 18 months have just got round to replacing it with a proper jobby.
