General Got a wierd noise from front end of GP, any1 know what it is??

Ive got an 07 Plate GP, and recently just replaced the brake pads. I hadnt long noticed the noise after they had been changed, however i dont feel they are the cause. The noise sounds like a PC loading up (Very Bizzzarreeeee i know) and is coming from the right side of the car. I cannot accuratly locate the source because it only occurs when the cars moving with my foot on the pedal.......

Its either around the front right wheel or in the right side of the engine, it wasnt a problem at first, but i think its getting worse. Any ideas what it could be??

All i can think of is the wheel bearing.

Not really, the only time its really noticable is when in first gear moving off, thats when it is at its loudest. I thought it had something to do with the wheel because it only happens when i accelarate in a low gear. 3rd-5th gear you dont hear it at all :/

Seems like its off to the garage....Again!

try the disc protector just behind the disc same thing happened to mine last year all the ice and snow had moved it a bit so it was rubbing on the disc i pushed it back with a screwdriver

I had my car checked by the garage after! after all that worrying it was just the air filter tapping the engine when driving simple cable tie and the car sounds as good as new My local garage too, so got it checked for free

I'd agree with the above post. I had a similar noise and after searching for it here, discovered a rubber bung had disintregrated that was holding the air inlet pipe to its bracket. Cable ties did the trick.
