Hi, im from next door in the multipla section. The multipla just isnt my style but i dont want all the problems im having to put me off fiats alltogether.I had a coupe 20v turbo a few years ago and loved the engine so now im " with family " i was thinking of a marea weekend with the lovely five cylinder 2.0 .So is it any good?:)

Great engine, sounds lovely and runs well. However, it is an absoloute pig to work on, ther is no space and things are positioned in stupid places.
As i said though, i love mine :) good amount of space (For bicycles and guitars/amps) Drives nice and quiet if you want, or it can be loud and rawkus!

We got our Marea Weekend one year old and still have it. Its a 2000X 1.8ELX. It's been very reliable and a great workhorse, it's also easy to work on. With some economy driving techniques you can get over 40MPG on a run. The diesels seem to give the front suspension a hard time due to the weight of the engine and as noted the 5 cylinder petrol car is rather shoe-horned in. I've posted on here before that the 1.6 SX is car that works fine as well, although with the 1.8 you get a Japanese engine management system.
