Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my Glow plugs (or heater plugs) on my fiat bravo 1.9 dynamic 120hp diesel.

In the dashboard a orange light show me a failure in one of my Glow plugs. I don't find the plugs in my engine, where are?, please I need help. How can I ckeck it?.

I found information about the same problem but for the Stilo, it the same?.

Regards.

If the engine layout is the same as my punto, they are in front of the engine below the 4 fuel pipes. Look right down for the cables that feed each plug. However don't always assume because the glow plug warning light is on that that is the problem! If the relay is worn or a cable inbetween the relay and plug or a connector it will throw up the same fault. You can test the plugs with a meter on the ohms setting. Have a look on utube under ASKTHEMECHANIC on testing glow plugs. Great video collection of top money saving tips.

I would say (but stand to be corrected) the glow plugs are below each of the injectors under the plastic cover. The injectors being the four on the top. The glow plugs on my Punto are about 4 or 5 inches below at an angle out of the side of the engine block. If you can take that plastic cover off easily enough you should see them. Again though I can not be certain not knowing the engine.

The plastic cover is the camshaft cover. Only thing you'll see under there is the camshaft and valve clearance adjustment shims.

Glow plugs are at the back of the engine below the aluminium inlet manifold.

There's a guide to testing JTD glow plugs here:
