Glass Issue

This is quite difficult to explain, I'll try and get a picture later if I get a chance.

The windscreen on the Pajero has lots of tiny imperfections covering the entire surface from what I can tell, during the day it looks fine but at night especially in areas with street lighting it's quite obvious a gives everything a slightly distorted look ... but more than anything it annoys me.

I'm tempted to try claying it - has anyone clayed glass before? I'm just hoping with it being an import that it's just fallout damage from the container ship, I've polished it with AG Glass Polish to no avail, maybe I just need to go over it a few times?

Any other suggestions?

no harm trying clay could be little chips in the surface? if not could always try a fall out remover im at home till friday if you want to have a run out to goole

You can clay all the windows, and then you can polish them with Sonax ProfiLine Glass Polish to make it clear.

Has it had the screen replaced? A lot of insurance companies opt for cheap screens especially with imports meaning you can get a "lense" effect when looking through it at certain angles.

I'm pretty sure it's original, if it had been replaced it would have been in Japan as it's only just been imported (I'm the first UK owner). Andy and I tried loads of stuff - fallout remover, polish, clay, you name it, it's really wierd, I can only assume that the previous owner worked at a chemical factory or something, lol.
