Glasgow Meet - Saturday 8th October

Late response but certainly was a busy weekend to say the least :)

Cheers to Martyn for co-orchestrating proceedings with me, won't mention the cable ties that failed in their basic purpose - I don't think I should buy anything for use at a meet  Also appreciate David for leading the way through the perilous Renfrew streets en route to the slightly busy Xscape, would've been traffic jammed for a fair old while otherwise :)

And of course thanks to everyone for making it out. Weather was pretty dire as per most FS meets, but everyone was great despite this. Think my bowling needs a bit of work though and I'll try to reduce the promotion of RGZ in future FS productions...at least it'll help when I come to sell her

Got home safely after an interesting journey. Coming off the roundabout from the M9 to the A9 the red oil can light on the dashboard started flashing and I got "change engine oil" warning message. The car was serviced just last month so there shouldn't really be any problems but that far from home I didn't want to take any chances so stopped in a lay by and checked the dip stick. It was far too dark though and even using the headlights I couldn't tell where the oil level was. However a quick few phone calls and a general consensus of possible dirt in the oil filter left me feeling confident it was ok to continue home. And I still made good time getting home just after 10.30pm

Trip to the garage for me on Monday not least to get that fecking annoying flashing light switched off

A slightly annoying end to an otherwise good day

I'd guess some garage 'forgot' to tell the car it had been serviced.

Cheers

That's exactly what happened. I now have to put up with the annoying flashing light until next Tuesday when they've got time to fit me in. Shame I have a trip to Dundee on Friday - I'll probably be demented with it by the time I get back home

only at the wrong times

Hmmm I survived Dundee (Just) that was after the Satnav decided to take me to a differnt part of Dundee to where I was wanting to go...
Managed to find where I wanted, by blind luck.
Then it decided that Liff Road was in the main part of Dundee rather than just off Kingsway.
