Technical Gille removal technique?

has anyone managed to get their front grille off? i just had a go and the bolts just twist because they are only held by plastic

i'd like to get it off without breaking it but if i must.....

Are all 3 turning? my middle one turned, so i was able to take the badge off and get to the back of that one

yes, so i've not been able to get anywhere

its clip snapping time. they will already be weakened if the bolts turn so it wont take much, try bending the bolts using a deep socket. thats what i used and they snapped off easily.

then you need to think about how you will reattach the grill. thats more difficult.

the body shop that resprayed my car broke all the clips on mine and then re attached them with silicone but you could get another grill i got a new style marea grill with the round badge for my bravo for a fiver

didnt like your ideas so made my own

managed to get one undone just out of luck so thats one out the way, then the opposite end one i got an 8mm spanner under it and lights it up with the bolt, turned the nut until the bolt head the in the right place then with a swift bang it went over the head of the bolt and i could undo it, used the same for the middle one

discovered cant fit smooth grill yet due to needing to modify the bonnet so re fitted old one
