getting my car lowered

finaly chose what springs i wanted and went for gmax -40mms!! originaly my friend was ament to be fitting them for me but he's gone traveling for 2 months!!dont you love it when a plan comes together!!lol. anyway i was just wondering if anyone knows of places that i could get it lowered in the cheltenham glos area? or the milton keynes area? and what sort of price will i be looking to pay?

Any standard garage should be able to do them for you, its not that complicated. Something to take into notice though if you do end up with a friend doing them is that the mechanic that did mine said the ABS sensor was in the way of one of the bolts or something, so he had to bore a new hole - not sure exactly. But basically be very careful because if you break the sensor he sed if would have been about 100 to replace

Sensors are impossible to get out once a few years old. On ABS models it seems easiest to cut the bottom bolt off and then replace it the other way around. Thats what i did anyway.

agree with the whole abs sensors dont come out after a couple of years i had my suspension kit fitted in jan and had to buy new sensors cos the old ones just fell apart. bout £80 a sensor so if you do get it done just be very careful or be prepared to spend bit more money replacing them
