Hello everybody.

I just purchased my first classic car. A white Fiat 500L (650cc swapped) named Luigi to accompany my 2008 500 1.4.

I was wondering if anybody could tell me and possibly other first time owners, some basic knowledge about the little beauties. For example the most common servicing parts and wich part numbers to get. Like what size altonator belt, spark plugs, what oil the cars like most etc.

I'll also attatch some pics of my project :)
Many thanks!

I would suggest that the first thing you do is purchase a work-shop manual----"Haynes" do a perfectly acceptable one. The manual will advise you of a lot of the 'service' items required, and there are a number of dealers who specialise in the Cinquecento in Europe (Netherlands, Italy Germany etc.). Engine-oil? I would suggest that for a standard 500, a GOOD QUALITY 20/50 oil will be fine. Never skimp on engine oil---even 'expensive' engine oil is a lot cheaper that a 'goosed' engine!

WB, I agree with Tom @thehobbler a 'Haynes manual' is essential I would go further and add that you should obtain both the 500 and the 126 manuals as there is 650 information specific to the 126.
Ian.

Haynes manuals for sure but often overlooked is the original owners handbook supplied with the car when new
