Gearboxes for a brava

are there any gearboxes from other fiats that would fit my fiat brava 1.4 12v

I have been quoted 750 euros with a further 750 euros to fit it ....translates to £500 for box and £500 to fit it, which seems excessive seeing as i only paid 1400 euros for the car

there are a couple of puntos for sale for less than 750 euros (£500) that i could take the box off (maybe)


Its a bit of a p1sser as i have only had the car for about3 or 4 months and i enjoy driving it

I think you will find that the box on the 1.4 is unique to that engine. The 1.4 did not appear in any other models as far as I know so I'm afraid it's a 1.4 Bravo/a box or nothing.

i thought the 1.4 tipo had the same engine as the 1.4 brava/o, i'm sure someone will know

Tipo 1.4 was only an 8v engine.

The 1.4 12v engine was specific to the Bravo/a only....

Nothing else in the entire Fiat range, new or old has had the same engine...
