Technical Gearbox woes.(sorry)

Hi guys,I've got a W reg year 2000,2.8idtd motorhome.Has anyone any info on how to remove the gearbox.Looks to be a tight fit close to the cross member.Any advise would be appreciat.There maybe a post already on here but can't find it.

yes its the exact same gearbox and mounting as my 1.9TD,i taken my off a few times to replace the syncro rings, remove drive shafts, undo gear control cable and speedo cable, unbolt and pull off ,your done,beware they are bloody heavy

Thanks for that Robin.You make it sound easy.I was a bit concerned that the box is to close to the main crossmember,thought I might have to drop engine and box together.
