Gearbox whine

Hey all well for the last week or so ive noticed a whine coming from the gearbox when in second gear it gets progressivly(spelling) louder when accelerating through the gear then i hear it very slightly in 3rd but not at all in any of the other gears. any ideas wht it could be cheers Danny

by the way its a 1997R 1.8 with 100k

also to add it goes away when the clutch is in.

Most likely 100k of normal gearbox wear and tear.

Try some new gearbox oil.

Ok mate jut seemed a bit wierd as its really quite loud when acc il try the oil and see if that works.

Acceleration puts the most strain on the gearbox.
