Gearbox Problem?

Can anyone help?
Having problems with my gearbox in my 1.4 98 Bravo.
Cannot select any gear but 3rd when engine is running but it is fine when its off?

just had new clutch fitted 7000 miles ago.
Could it be anything to do with gearbox linkage?

could be linkage whoever did your clutch may not have tightend the linkage properly or a linkage cable has snapped another possibillity the clutch slave cylinder is leaking fluid? but some clutches are cable operated, if you's is cable opperated then the latter won't apply.

Most likely an incorrectly fitted clutch.

Clutch will have either bust again or as Tom says, more likely fitted poorly.

Dont be too hasty to blame the gear box (even though they are weak too).
