Gearbox oil?

I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what gearbox oil to use in my 1998 (S) Bravo 1.8 HLX. I have read other reports that the FIAT oil they use is poor and also can lead to early gearbox problems. My gear changes have certainly got slightly notchy (like the oil is thinning). Also has anyone done the gearbox oil change, as I would rather get a mate to do it for free at local tyre fitters than take it to FIAT.

g/box oil

i would use either semi or fully synthetic in the gearbox its easy to do filler on front is a 12mm hex key and drain is the same

gear box oil

try exchanging some gbox oil for some slick 50 gear box oil,works wonders
