gearbox issues.

hmmmmm
i believe this is a problem..
got a bravo 2001

its stiff to put in gear 1 and sometimes 2..

how do i check the gearbox oil to see if it has some of course...
do gearbox cables need adjusting etc.

any ideas into this.

do a search probably been covered, if it 1.2 they are known for gearbox problems

is it a 1.2?

if so

flat surface,
drain plug on rear of gearbox. remove. drain oil. replace.
fill plug on front of gearbox (if i remember correctly). remove. fill with correct amount of correct grade. replace.

(the amount and grade have been discussed before so a search may help, as i cannot remember what and how mych i needed and am at work so cannot check the manual)

worn synchromesh on the 1st/2nd gear most likely. it'll get fresh ne woil when the gearbox gets put back after the synchro is replaced.
