Gear Trouble

Right as u no, iv just bought a brand new yaris, but i and my friends are having real trouble with my 1st gear, all the rest shift nice and smooth, but i really have to jiggle and force my gear around to get it to go in, deff a car problem, not just the fact im a girl, hehe, i no its not just me, as i got my male friends to try it as well, they have the same problem.
Any ideas on what this may be or what to do.
only had her a week, brand new, what to do ?
