Gear Stick rattle

can anyone tell me if they have had this problem??

when i'm accelerating (s.p?) i get a rattle through my gear stick,,, what is it??? is there an easy way to fix it?? i know its my gear stick cos when i grab it, it stops.

you mean if you push the gas pedal, your gear stick moves slightly (0,5" or so)?

That happened to me, it moved liked an inch or so. I didn't know what it was, so I drove around, even did around 100-110mph on the highway.

Than I opened my front hood...

(this is how the motor should be - when I bought it and before the accident)

So, look at the "hose" from the air filter to the motor..the change of it in the first picture and on the rest of them.
What happened? I had a car accedent in may 2002 and when got it repaired they had to put a smaller screw that holds the motor on its position (can't discribe better because I don't speak english that well). So it simply broke!

And the only thing holding it still in my car (the motor) was the vent, shown on the picture #3...

Gladfully got it fixed for only £35...
