Hi all, new here, but have a question.

My Doblo JTD has gone through 2 gear linkages in 40000 miles, (see pic), surely I can't have the only Doblo that eats gearlinkages, anyone else had this problem.

I know this is an old thread but my 2000 Multipla has just done the exact same thing. Luckily it sheared while I was in second so I was able to limp to the mother in laws and from there get recovered home.
It started with me not being able to select 5th whilst doing 60ish, it just kept grinding. I put it back into 4th and then tried 5th again, it went straight in. Half an hour later it struggled to go into third, I went back to second but this time it wouldn't engage, back to second and thats where it is now. It just went all floppy. I pulled the gator off and found the linkage snapped in the same place as the above picture.
No one answered this post when it was first raised but I'm hoping that in the intervening time the problem has been noticed and sorted. Is it simply a case of replacing the gear lever as it's become fatigued over time or is the snap a symptom of a deeper flaw.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance.

this obviously isn't an isolated case looking at the first 2 posts but neither of these forum members seem to have been online for a while.
I haven't had this problem myself but it would be interesting to know how easy/difficult it was to sort out.

Hi mine went through the two linkages in 30,000 then did about another 100,000 miles with no problems untill I sold the car. I think from memory it also turned out that the 1st time it broke the linkage under the gear stick the second time it broke were it joins the gearbox.
