Yes mate.. spot on.. thats exactly what i was going to do! EXACTLY!!
2 gauges in the same place.
mine are oil pressure and AFR, and are autogauge also.
WHat ones you got there?
did you wire them yourself?
How hard is fitting in to the cool box?
Don't you use the cool box anymore?

sorry for all the Questions, hope you can help though

i have volts and oil temp.. yeah i still use the cool box their s just enough room left over.. all i did to make them fit was to drill a 25mm hole and file it then to make for a snug fit.. its fairly easy to wire em yourself.. volt guage is a doddle but my oil temp guage required an adapter tha went between the Engine and the oil filter..

Viciouscycl3, thats exctly where a 7" screen will be going in mine :)

and coyle, that last pic is awsome, i love those gauges that have a dark face then light up with ignition.

ultimately though, placing them like Viciouscycl3 will be much cooler, however since you already have the double din you might as well just use that, as having the guages on the glovebox and a big huge empty space in the console is going to look awkward.

so thats where i'd have them in your case, by the stereo.

then you can get a 7" monitor in the glovebox :ROFLMAO:

but i dont have a big huge empty space by the headunit
i have a flip out 7" monitor which covers all of the space.
thats why i was after a different fascia adaptor so i could have the gauges there, but i cant find the one im after anywhere, its not easy to find a fascia which has spaces for headunit, and for gauges.

so what you think.. where should i put then? cool box, or new din?

You only drilled a 25mm hole? arent these gauges 52mm?
how hard was it to drill them, coz although the front is soft and easy to drill through, theres is plastic fitting at the back, and your ipod looks like it is where the hinge is attached?
do you have any trouble seeing the gauges in that position? cheers

yep sorry your right it was a 52mm hole :bang: yeah the front is a very spongy foam and that can be a bit of a problem to drillas it can melt and get tangled in the bit.. i recomend drilling very slowly.. the ipod was attached simply using good old double sided.. (y) their very easy to see in that position.. if you need any help wiring them jus send me a PM..

i think i may put them there mate.. i wasn't sure how it would look. but i like it!
gives the passangers something to admire! lol.
Have you not cut any hole out for the ipod? it looks sunk in slightly?

the gauges im fitting are AFR ( air fuel ratio) and Oil pressure. I have been thinking of vacuum also.. not sure yet.
do you know how to wire any of those?
i'll be doing it tomorrow afternoon (y)
