General Gaskets and Seals

Hi, does anyone know where you can get gasket sets and oil seals for a 1995 1.9td Ducato motorhome, have tried dealer an £173.62 + vat. Thank you.

It must have high miles? I'd see about putting in another low mile xud9 engine from a pug 306 405 406 etc. etc.

Hi, Thanks for the reply the engine has only done 69,000Km from new, the last owner didn't do any thing about the bad rad an blew the head gasket, I have to do some repairs on the front chassis legs so pulled the engine out on close inspection the ideal periods had allowed the rust to rampage, the engine was taken down to its component parts and is now ready to be rebuilt, the head has been ported and polished and skimmed new valve stem seals ect ect. Thanks for the suggestion.

GSF do the gasket sets and seals for the xud engines there are a couple of different ones probably best to bring in your own to check.

You may be lucky and find a full set cheap on ebay maybe this one would suit:

Peugeot 306 D Turbo Head gasket set and bolts on eBay (end time 20-Feb-11 12:40:37 GMT)

or this:

306 309 405 PARTNER 1.9D 1.9 XUD9 86-99 HEAD GASKET SET on eBay (end time 13-Mar-11 10:22:29 GMT)

or this:

PEUGEOT 306 405 406 1.6 1.8 8V 92-02 XU HEAD GASKET SET on eBay (end time 07-Mar-11 20:34:58 GMT)

Hi there I have just done my head and got both top and bottom sets for my 94 Fiat Ducato from a company called Nevlock in Coventry.
£60 for both sets.

Hi Guys, Thanks for the response i cant use the uxd sets as the engine is Fiats own, because she is L/H/D and was made for the home market not the export market.

Engine rebuild set up

Hi to all, Having had to strip the engine down to its component parts, its time to start to rebuild i have ordered all new seals and gaskets ect. The head has had new stem seals, port and polish, shimes and skimmed. How do i ensure that the cam shaft is in the correct position when rebolting the head to the block ect. Will the Bosch fuel pump also set? Any other advse to be a great help. Will keep you all posted on my progress. Thanks for any help given.
