Garage Washers!

Hi,

I dont have much time to wash my car and use the machines at a local petrol station.

What do you do with the wax setting. Do you spray and leave or dry in with a fibre cloth!

I find or make the time to wash my car by hand, weekly or fortnightly, this way I get to see any problems with the paint nice & early.

I wouldnt touch a garage rotary washer with a bargepole, no idea what those whirling brushes have stuck to them, so I'd say your concern about wax is a bit low in terms of priority. Still its your car so it's also your choice, whichever you choose go in peace!

I think he's referring to the jet wash, as opposed to the 'sit in and ride it out' type things. I believe you're meant to just leave the wax to dry off naturally but no harm in getting at it with a microfibre if you don't care about your paintwork, otherwise the numerous bits of grit the jetwash didn't get off will be getting swirled about in your paint whilst you rub!
