Hi team
just joined the forum. I am a proud owner of a Red 1964 RHD Fiat 500d with Transformable roof - affectionally known as Big Red.
As you can appreciate she is fun to drive
That said I am going over the car with a fine tooth comb and the research suggests that the 6 fuses should be all 8 amp. However I have a mixture, some 8, some 16, some other (have not pulled them out yet to confirm size, but definitely not 8.)
To the experts in the group - is this common practice to change the fuse sizes as people learnt more about these cars or could this be possibly hiding deeper issues the previous owner was trying to address? Depending on the answer I may go back to all 8 Amp and see what happens.
I am also trying to find a user instruction manual in English (if nothing else it is making me practice my Italian!!). I found the 500L manual in the forum - however I found some significant differences - eg the fuse box is reversed in the L to the D
Lastly - has any one had issues with the fuel pump in the D when doing down steep hills? My fuel cuts out. I was thinking an electric fuel pump but that seem sacrilege so not keen to do it
Looking for the collective wisdom from the group
Regards
Paul
