ive got a 1000w american legacy amp in my boot.. last summer i blew this 30amp green fuse, it was the hottest day of that year so i blamed it no that. it went again last week, and having replaced it friday it blew straight away..? so now im lost. i cant blame the heat
i just wondered if anybody knew what it was there for? as theres a huge fuse under the bonnet.. so whats this little green one for? iv ehad a qucik look at all the wiring and it seemed ok..

any help appreciated

could that be it? its gone again, ive checked about 70% of the wiring (that i could see) and all the connections.
im wondering if the amp has got water in it, ive found condensation in the boot once or twice, it went after about 3 minutes again?!?
im going to have a good look at it tomorrow..

cheers

If your gains too high, so its 'clipping' too much of the signal off to compensate, then youre fuse might blow.

Try turning your gain, boost, everything down to zero and see if it still happens.

If that doesnt work, just check your wiring again and make sure there are no shorts on the speaker wires

nice one.. i'll give that a try.. if the amp has gone tho.. just gonna be a better set of 6x9's n i'll sell the subs to my brother.. i dont really need em for the music i listen to
