Hi everyone,
Thanks for the all the tips and guides on this forum, they've been a great help in keeping my 2016 Fiat 500 (1.2 E6) in good shape. Approaching 92k miles I decided to replace the injectors (irregular idle, excessive vibration etc) and found a good deal on 4 new Valeo.
When I tried to the disconnect the fuel pipe from the fuel rail the 2 plastic clips "quick release" literally broke off like they were made of sugar. I managed to replace the injectors with the fuel line attached no problem but now I am missing those 2 tabs, everything else in place and car now runs smooth as silk. Should I worry or can I just get along just fine without those 2 tabs? I would guess the fuel line will be secure unless those 2 tabs are pressed.
Thanks! PXL_20250704_180549362.MP.jpg

Ahhhh gotcha 👍

Maybe rig something to emulate the clips function just for safety's sake , high temp cable ties etc

I had a similar experience to yourself when swapping injectors!.
And then got paranoid about the rail separating whilst driving! Once i figured that i was probably never gonna try and take it apart again and if anything else went wrong in that area i was going to have to get another (new?) one! i decided to(correct)the problem .
I drizzled a little epoxy resin(araldite) into the recess where the clips sat to insure it stayed together (having said that the connection still felt solid despite the lack of clips) left it overnight to set and have not even thought about it since!.
