Technical Fuel pump on scudo

Easy money for them that's why.
I've ordered a new relay and I got a scanner today but it will not connect to the car keeps coming up linking error

you may have a pump problem . If it is reading 8v then the battery may be flat. it should read just under 14v. charge it up and try again. you can clearly hear the pump if it is working.

No the pump is fine it's just not getting power from the relay.

Just had a 2.0jtd with same problem. This is worth checking. The computer could not make contact with the car through OBD so we came to the conclusion the ECU was knackered. Got another ecu from scrapyard (the ecu must come complete with black box that is located behind dash on drivers side, key and black shroud that goes round ignition switch) this is all plug and play but must all be fitted together or it wont work. When fitting you can use your own key to start the car but the key that comes with the new ecu must be right inside the shroud or it wont start. Whole job takes about half hour. Car now runs perfect

I was thinking it might be a broken wire from relay to ecu coz if I lift the contact up in double relay to make a live ecu comes on the van will start. If I drop it back down it cuts out and ecu will go off.

Thats what I thought for a start but I think thought was more hoped in disguise. If the obd plug allows contact with computer then the ecu is probably good, if the obd plug does not allow contact then you maybe need to look down this line. It worked for me.

My scanner will connect when I lift contact on double relay but doesn't even power up ecu if the contact is not done on relay!!
