Fuel Injection Fault

Hi,

I have a 1.6 Marea Auto, which has on occasion started to light the "fuel injection fault" light (the light that looks like an upside down spray can).

Nothing seems to happen to the car when it lights up, and I know the manual says to take it to Fiat to see what the fault is, but I wondered if anyone has had this before and what it might be?

The car has 75k on it and has just been serviced, including changing the air filter and plugs so that should discount any poor burning issues.

Cheers

yep..mine did the same..

needed new injector.....£250....sorted

spenspuma, read this line:

>Nothing seems to happen to the car when it lights up

Your dead injector caused a missfire now didn't it?

The light comes on when I start and goes out again a few seconds later (normal behaviour I know) and then occaisionally comes on for about 30 seconds then goes out again. This is after the car has been running for a while. Example was last week when it came on after 5 minutes of running, went out, and then back on again 30 minutes later. Nothing seems wrong, no change of engine note, no drop of power etc, so I am wondering if it may just be a loose connection?

Thanks

Garry

Sounds wiring related to me. Check all the connections along the back of the manifold and the throttle body, make sure none are loose or wet.
