Hi All
3 times during the warranty period the fuel injection failure warning light lit up (2001 Yreg Marea jtd weekend 110 ELX), the dealers found no fault and reset it.
Now amazingly the warranty has expired the light came on, so i took it to the same dealer, this time they found the fault.
They said the No1 fan relay needs replacing at a cost of £100. I wasnt pleased to say the least and didnt get it done.
Has anybody ever come accross this?
(They also say its not a major worry as the Marea JTD has 2 fans)
Im going to sell the car soon dont wanna spend £100 on it then find the light comes on again.

Regards
Andrew

I'm certainly no expert for £100 for a fan relay...seems a bit steep to me.

I have the exact same problem with mine and i hope it won't cost £100! :(

Even if it does have two fans, there must be there for a purpose.

I would try and identify which relay it is (mine, i believe, is in the little box just infront of the battery), take it out and take it to your local motor factors and see what they say...

ok , thanks for the advice i will do that.
is there anyway i can reset the warning light myself or does it have to go to the dealer?

Once the problem is fixed it 'may' go out...but i doubt it.

Its either Fiat or Alfanige to turn it off.

If the prob is fixed the light will go out, also after a number of engine starts the error codes are deleted.

can anyone tell me where the number 1 fan relay is on a marea JTD, i dont wanna replace the wrong thing...

or Anyone want to buy it or know how much i would get for it with the light on?
