Technical Fuel Filter

What is the crrect way to change the fuel filter on my 1.9 SX diesel?
It looks straightforward but I've never owned a diesel before.
Just changed the air filter,quite a job with a 7mm spanner, and just possible without removing any body parts!

The fuel filter is straight forward, just unbolt & put the new one on.
When cranking the engine over it may stall a couple of times till the filter fills with fuel.
If you can remove the air filter which took me about 2 or 3 hours with a flexi extension then the fuel filter will be very easy.

Err sorry only a 7mm spanner to do the job one hour max.
only dropped it once!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is yours the turbo or non turbo? I struggled with a socket for ages.

Fuel filter changed,i also topped up the dry filter with diesel.
It wouldn't start,so i had to loosen one of the feeds to one of the injectors and get some diesel through, tighten up and Bobs you're auntie.
