Hello!

Is replacing the fuel filter an easy do-it-yourself job or it is complicated? What is required, other than a new filter of course?
I would like to replace my one because, even if I rarely use the car on gasoline (I mainly use LPG), if I have to use it on gasoline then the car is like "stuck" when starting, I have to press the accelerator pedal a lot or it will "jump", so I think it could be a dirty filter with poor gasoline delivery.
Is the fuel filter located near the engine or it is at the back, near the fuel tank? I am asking for a Tempra 1.6 SX with carb, should be much similar to Tipo 1.4 (don't remember if there were 1.6 Tipos with carb or they only were i.e.)

Thanks

should be at the back lefthand of the engine bay. just follow the fuel pipes from the pump at the front of the engine back.

Ok thank you! So much easier replacement than if it was near the tank :)
I was thinking, will it be a problem if some air enters the fuel pipes during the replacement, or after some "coughing" of the engine they will be full of fuel again?

All right, replaced the filter and the engine for just an instant seemed to be turning off but then continued to run just fine. Thank you!(y)
