Hi All i went to change the fuel filter today and after disconnecting the fuel pipes and electric wiring i found the screw top very difficult to undo and had to take a hammer and screw driver to it. I replaced the filter and new seal screwed the top back on hand tight as it says in the workshop manual reconnected the pipes started the car and there was a leak coming from the filter housing so have tightened the top as much as i can the leak stopped but there is a weeping around the thread. Has anyone any tips on sealing this any better please. The car is a 2.0 jtd.

Thanks

Mark

Thanks avionista i think i have sorted it now though i waited until it was stone cold in the morning and gave it a few more taps it turned a bit more and looks like it has done the trick.
