Hi
Past few days been smelling petrol not strong but still there around the car, traced it to the fuel filter right hand side of fuel tank.
Looking up at the filter its looks wet and the smell is strong but only a few drips of petrol over several hours after use.
Do the pipes corrode leading to the filter or is the filter known for this problem ???
I do most of my own work where possible on the car and only if I have the know how to do it but with petrol involved its a little different.
How hard/easy is it to remove the filter ? doe's the petrol flood out when removing the pipes ?
Being 14 years old I think the nuts going to the filter will be solid, not sure of any damage that using force will cause ...
Anyone changed/replaced the fuel filter would appreciate any usefull info.
Thanks.
