hi i have just bought a grande punto 1.4 t jet it has been in a accident and the near side seat and roof airbags have gone off when i turn the ignition on it says fuel cut off switch and wont start i have looked for a switch but cant find it does anyone know where it is or how to by pass it?

If I must belive the manual that cam ewith my 1.9 mjet it must be on the passenger side.
Underneath the glovebox next to the door.
The pictues shows a dotted line that looks like a cap that needs to be remove to reach for the button.
In the up position the fuelcut is active.

I hope you can find it with this description...
O, my cars a left hand drive so maybe it's on the drivers side in you car.

Yeah it's drivers side for Right hand drive, it's behind the plastic cover next to the accelerator, don't need to remove anything just put your hand through the gap.

i have took the panel off cant see anything just two plugs that connect some wiring i have rang fiat and they said its behind the glove box but i cant find anything there either they said it will have to be plugged into there machine?

Maybe different for the petrol versions.

Door unlocking in the event

of a crash

In the event of a crash that triggers the fuel

cut-off switch, the doors will unlock automatically

to enable getting into the car

and at the same time the passenger’s compartment

lights will turn on. It is however

always possible to open the doors from

the passenger’s compartment by means of

the internal door handles.

If no fuel leaks are detected after the impact

and the car is ready to go, restore

correct operation following the instructions

given below.

To reset car operation, follow this procedure:
turn the ignition key to MAR;

activate the right-hand indicator;

deactivate the right-hand indicator;

activate the left-hand indicator;

deactivate the left-hand indicator;

activate the right-hand indicator;

deactivate the right-hand indicator;

activate the left-hand indicator;

deactivate the left-hand indicator;

turn the ignition key to STOP

Thanks to Crossie and MKmoers for having shared theyr foundings !!

Kind regards, Bernie
