Hi
I (stupidly) have a Chrysler Ypsillon which Apparently has the same engine As a Fiat. I parked my car up at work the other day, went to use it again at lunch time and it wouldn’t start, a message said “Fuel cut off unavailable”. I think this might have been caused by an oil leak and my car was entering a safety mode to prevent me from seizing the engine which I suppose was a good thing although the oil light didn't come on. I have put oil in my car and tried the reset sequence as shown in the manual, which I believe is the same way as Fiat - put key to MAR, indicate right, off, indicate left, off, repeat then put key to stop...but this isn’t working
I’ve had someone do a computer check on my car and it’s coming up no faults. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong or come across a problem before with resetting the fuel cut off this way? I can’t see the reset button which seems to be on most cars, seems silly to have replaced a simple button with an indicator sequence.
