Hi,
I've heard of a similar problem on Alfas: must be an Italian car thing. So,
I thought you guys could help.
Why front wipers come on when something somewhere in the car is damp and stay
on until whatever it is dries out. The problem is so sensitive that fog can
set the wipers going.
When I switch the dipped lights off the problems stops. Sometimes I have to
switch the dipped lights off for a short time to cure the problem but if the
damp still exists the wipers come on again.
I've just had the fault where the dipped lights don't work because of the
dodgy connector behind the dash. This has been taped up so there shouldn't
be any water getting in there...
Any help much appreciated. Obviously, when ever I get the car to a garage
the problem doesn't exist and so can't be traced.
Thanks,
Owen.
